Construction Project

Church Way, South Croydon

Extension

The brief called for more breathing space and a cleaner, contemporary aesthetic, so we began with a 70 m² rear extension capped by a mono-pitch roof. The new envelope floods the ground floor with natural light and stretches the home’s footprint deep into the garden without overpowering the original structure.

Inside, we re-planned the layout around open-plan living. A concealed walk-in pantry keeps clutter out of sight, allowing the kitchen and dining zone to read as one. Off-white quartz worktops and handle-less cabinetry reinforce the minimalist feel while standing up to daily use.

The exterior received equal attention. We laid a porcelain-tiled patio level with the new floor slab to create a seamless indoor-outdoor threshold, rendered the entire façade for a uniform finish, and rolled fresh turf across the garden. The result is a light-filled home that now meets the client’s wish for modern, sociable spaces connected to the outdoors.
